- Use wire garden edging as holder
for holiday cards. Cover the sharp ends
that are designed to go into the ground with ribbon, add
greenery, then tuck your cards into the fencing.
- Or place pinecones in a basket, then
stick in your greeting cards. Accent the basket with
greenery.
- Instead of using the cloth wraps
made for wine bottles, make your own using tea towels. Use
double-sided tape to hold in place, and secure with decorative
ribbons and cording
- Hang glass ornaments in windows where
they catch the sunlight and/or candlelight. This looks
especially pretty in the sidelights by the front door.
- While you’re hanging those
ornaments on places other than the tree, take
the top off of several, then glue narrow ribbon in an “x”,
bringing up the ends and tying in a bow. Fill with
water, then add baby’s breath or other small flowers. Hang
from the chandelier or anywhere else you’d like a
little color and beauty – even the tree!
- As guests arrive to celebrate the
holidays, hand them a disposable camera. Collect
at the end of the evening, develop the pictures, then frame
them to give as gifts.
- Remember to take the time to enjoy
yourself, your family, and your friends – the
most important part of the holidays!
