Now that the warm weather is here, we can really get outdoors!  While you’re out there, consider making the outside of your home as welcoming as the inside.  You deserve to feel good the moment you turn into your driveway!  Here are some tips to help you give your home curb appeal.
  • TipsMake a statement at the entrance to your driveway with large pots of flowers.  Or decorate around the base of your mailbox.

  • If your garage faces the street, diminish its prominence by painting it a darker color than the rest of your home.  And make sure you keep it in good condition!

  • Keep front shrubbery low-maintenance, but interesting.  Try varying the height, colors and textures of the plantings.  Even plants of different shades of green provide interest.

  • Keep your front sidewalk in excellent shape.  This is the way into your home, so keep it in good condition.  Make it pretty by adding pots of flowers along the way.

  • TipsThe front door says a lot about what’s on the inside.  Make sure it appears inviting.  Keep it clean and in good working order.  Try painting it a welcoming color – like a deep red.

  • Even if you live in an apartment or condo and don’t have much control over the outside, make the entrance to your home pretty.

  • If you’re just not sure what to do to improve your curb appeal, take a walk around the neighborhood to see which homes have the really speak to you, then try doing whatever they are doing on your own home.
Happy Homecoming!
